Passport renewal times have been crazy lately. Everybody is wanting to travel this year. I renewed my passport last year in an unbelievable amount of time. I submitted it on 1/25/22 and did not expedite it but did mail with tracking (Dallas area). Tracking showed it was received the next day 1/26/22. I received my passport on 2/7/22, less than 2 weeks later. I didn’t even have time to check the process online as it ha said to wait 14 days before checking online. But that’s not happening these days. It can take up to 6 months. Here are several articles about the current situation.
