Arrive in Vancouver and spend the remainder of the day on your own to explore.  The sparkling gem in Canada’s crown, Vancouver is a stop on every Rocky Mountaineer’s Canadian route. With a backdrop of snow-capped mountains and glistening ocean waters, Vancouver offers it all. Explore the city before settling in to your first class accommodations. Meals not included.

After your included group breakfast, enjoy a full day guided sightseeing tour of Vancouver and the spectacular North Shore with breath taking views of the city, ocean and surrounding mountains.  Highlights include Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island, walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge and ride the Grouse Mountain Gondola. Lunch and dinner not included.

October 11, 2024

Board the luxury glass domed rail car and travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior with Goldleaf Service. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the British Columbia Interior.

Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River.  Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room after being transferred by motorcoach.

Your expected arrival time in Kamloops will be between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Please be aware that rail travel can be subject to unforeseen delays.

Breakfast & lunch are included onboard. Dinner is not included.

Early this morning, you will be transferred by motorcoach to the train siding from your hotel.

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station to continue your Goldleaf service journey east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your expected arrival into Lake Louise is between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

Continue on to your final destination in Banff. Please note you will not disembark the train at Lake Louise.  Your expected arrival time in Banff is between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

Upon arrival at the Rocky Mountaineer Banff Train Siding, you will be transferred to your accommodations and your luggage with be delivered to your room.

Breakfast and lunch are included onboard. Dinner is not included.

The Banff Gondola is a spectacular eight-minute gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for 360-degree views of the Banff townsite and its surrounding mountains.

Sightseeing Tour:  From Banff To Calgary.  Full day sightseeing by motorcoach.

End the day at your accommodations in Calgary.

Lunch and dinner are not included.

Enjoy group breakfast at your Calgary accommodations (or a box breakfast if you have to catch an early flight).  Check out and prepare to head home.
